Scientific Program
Neuroscience 2018 featured lectures, symposia, and events for scientists at all career stages. Sessions and events at the annual meeting were designed to provide attendees with a range of opportunities, including scientific enrichment, career development, and professional networking.
Featured and Special Lectures: Each year, SfN's Program Committee invites leading scientists to give lectures on hot topics in neuroscience. The Presidential Special Lecture Series is developed by SfN's President with the lectures stemming from his or her area of interest.
Symposia and Minisymposia: These panel sessions are focused on timely, relevant research from across the field. Symposia and minisymposia are selected by the Program Committee from proposals submitted by SfN members.
Basic-Translational-Clinical Roundtables: These interactive panel discussions encourage debate and conversation from clinician-scientists at all levels. Basic-Translational-Clinical Roundtables are CME-eligible sessions.
Dual Perspectives: This new session is intended to serve as a platform where annual meeting attendees can learn about the history of as well as various arguments, research, and viewpoints surrounding a particular hot topic.
