Guidelines for presenting at Neuroscience 2021 are available to help you prepare to participate. You will receive a personal link to complete tasks for the virtual presentation through Cadmium, SfN’s virtual event vendor.

Featured Panel Session Types
Featured Panel Sessions will include a video broadcast with a simultaneous text chat and Q&A. Most sessions will prerecord the video presentation, while a few will have a live video broadcast.

Symposia and Minisymposia Presenters
Access information about virtual presentations for all symposia and minisymposia chairs, co-chairs, and presenters.

Symposia and Minisymposia Sessions
To present in your session, you must be registered for the annual meeting by Friday, October 29. As a participant in a symposium or minisymposium, you receive half-price registration for the annual meeting. Presentations will be withdrawn from the annual meeting if the speaker is not registered by October 29. If you have any questions, contact program@sfn.org.

Presentation Format
Recorded Video | Each of the presenters in the session will record and upload their video, which will be available for viewing by registered attendees during the meeting’s preview days November 3-7, 2021. Presenters will receive instruction on how to upload their presentations later this fall.
Virtual Panel Discussion | Each presenter in a session will provide a 3-minute or less single slide recap of their recorded presentation, followed by a panel discussion among the session participants and a live Q&A with the audience.

Recording and Live Virtual Presentation Requirements
You will record your presentation and upload materials to the Cadmium Education Harvester by October 25. Your panel discussion will be presented live. A text chat will also appear next to the presentation window during the live presentation.
Poster Sessions
All abstracts are required to be presented as reimagined virtual posters.

Presentation Format
Virtual poster presentations will consist of three components: PDF virtual poster, 5-minute recorded presentation, and a one-hour group discussion and collaboration session. Learn more about preparing your virtual poster presentation.
