Air Travel
San Diego is accessible by the San Diego International Airport. Transportation options, approximate travel times, and approximate fares to and from the airport are listed below. Fares are subject to change.
Airfare and other travel arrangements are the full responsibility of Neuroscience 2022 attendees.
San Diego International Airport
San Diego International Airport is served by 24 passenger airlines and is located 3 miles from downtown San Diego and the San Diego Convention Center.
- Time/Distance: Approximate 10-minute drive (3 miles) to downtown San Diego and the San Diego Convention Center.
- Taxis: Several companies provide taxicab service. If you need a taxi, follow the signs leading to the Transportation Plazas, on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim level adjacent to each terminal. Taxi fares from the airport to the Convention Center and downtown hotels are based on trip distance and may vary. An average fare is approximately $21.
- Airport Shuttle Services: Terminal Loop Shuttle, San Diego Flyer, and Rental Car Center Shuttle offer daily, door-to-door service to and from San Diego International Airport. Shuttle service is available at the Transportation Plaza across from Terminals 1 and 2. Shuttles operate on a shared-ride-on-demand basis. Advance notice is strongly urged. Ground Transportation

Taxis
There are several companies that provide taxicab service in San Diego. Taxicabs are easily accessible at the convention center, major hotels, and other downtown locations and attractions.

Metropolitan Transit System (MTS)
The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS), San Diego's commuter trolley and bus system, is available for transportation all over San Diego. There is a trolley station at the Convention Center and within a short walk from most major downtown hotels.

Terminal Loop Shuttle, San Diego Flyer, and Rental Car Center Shuttle offer daily, door-to-door service to and from San Diego International Airport. Shuttle Schedule
SfN provides complimentary shuttle services between San Diego Convention Center and most of the official SfN meeting hotels. Shuttle stops and schedule will be available later this year.

Parking
On-site private vehicle parking is available at the San Diego Convention Center's 1,950-vehicle underground garage located below the building. Enter the parking garage on Harbor Drive between First and Fifth Avenues. Daily parking rates may range from $15 to $30 on days when there is special event activity at Petco Park or other downtown events. Payment is due upon entry and there are no in and out privileges.
Directly across the street from the Convention Center, on the corner or Harbor and Eighth Avenue, is a 2,000 space parking structure.
Off-site parking is available at numerous nearby parking lots and garages in Downtown San Diego, many are within walking distance of the convention center. Parking lots and garages are individually owned and operated, prices vary by location.
