Where is SfN's annual meeting and what is the address?
The meeting will be held at the San Diego Convention Center, 111 West Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101.
Do I have to be a member to attend?
No, but the registration fees are reduced for members. Join or renew your membership.
When can I submit a proposal for a session or event?
Proposals for symposium, minisymposium, Dual Perspectives, Storytelling, Basic-Translational-Clinical Roundtables, Neuroscience Networking Events, Professional Development Workshops, and Ask Anything sessions are accepted during a submission period that opens in December each year and closes in January.
When can I submit an abstract?
Abstracts are accepted for a two-week submission period in May–June.

I'm a student attendee, is there anything special I should know?
Yes. There are registration benefits unique to students and services provided at the annual meeting that prove especially valuable to students:

I'm an international attendee, is there anything special I should know?
Yes. International attendees should take special care to plan their travel arrangements, especially if they need to obtain a visa, and prepare for their stay in the United States. International attendees could also qualify for reduced registration fees.

International attendees should familiarize themselves with the requirements to enter the U.S. Attendees should contact the U.S. Embassy Consular Section in their country to determine visa processing time frames. For up-to-date information, access the DOS website. Attendees will be able to request a letter of invitation from SfN (submission form available in December).

When can I pick up a Certificate of Attendance?
Certificates of attendance are proof to home institutions that attendees were present at the meeting. Certificates are signed by SfN staff. This document is often required for reimbursement of meeting expenses. Every attendee is advised to obtain a certificate, available at a designated booth in the convention center's Attendee Services area.
