eNeuro Editor-in-Chief Celebrates First Year of Publication
Christophe Bernard, editor-in-chief of SfN’s open-access journal eNeuro, describes the innovations that are key to the success of this new model of scholarly publishing as it enters its second year. His remarks, in a letter on the eNeuro homepage, outline how the journal is meeting its goals and describe the features in place to ensure the journal publishes only excellent science and provides a fair assessment of authors’ work. The journal has published more than 100 papers in its first year, and is also now being indexed in PubMed. Bernard encourages submissions to eNeuro that not only include the newest discoveries but also negative results, failures to reproduce, and replication results, as well as reviews and method papers, commentaries, and opinions to foster discussion.
