March 13 SfN Statement on COVID-19 Situation
SfN takes very seriously the unprecedented and rapidly developing global health situation with COVID-19 (coronavirus) and continues to closely monitor all developments. SfN is following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO), along with public health authorities local to its Washington, D.C. headquarters and site of Neuroscience 2020. Additionally, SfN is following developments within the academic and business communities concerning travel and meeting policies.
With Neuroscience 2020 taking place October 24-28, current deadlines for abstract submission and registration can be accessed on SfN.org. In the coming weeks and months, SfN expects there may be a number of changes and updates and will ensure that all members and attendees have access to the information they need in a timely fashion. Updates will be available on SfN.org, through SfN social media, and through email, where applicable.
Beginning Monday, March 16, SfN staff will be working remotely full-time while continuing to support all SfN business. SfN would like to thank its volunteer leaders and members for their commitment to SfN’s mission and looks forward to continuing to advance the field of neuroscience.
